All of us for sure really wish to succeed in life. Who doesn't?
Is success in life really that elusive for us to attain? Before we go any further, I think, it is just but right that we first define what is the meaning of success. Each one of us has our own definition of the word success but the meaning of success for me is:
"The result of highly motivated actions toward achieving of meaningful goals by exceeding the benchmark of constant failures."
In life, whenever we do things and the result did not turned out the way we wanted it, or we wanted something and didn't have it, or we failed in something, for most people, the most logical step is to give up. Why? Because that is the easiest option they have. To give up. Very few people would choose to stay and continue and push even harder. This situation always remind me of people who dig for gold or treasure hunter. Since the job require brutal force and tons of handwork, after spending a month of digging gold or hunting for treasures and still cant find anything, they will stop. Little did they realise that they are just a foot away from the gold or from the treasure.
Just recently, I came across a news about the invention of the new test for early, reliable detection of pancreatic cancer. He is Jack Andraka, a fifteen year old boy who at a very young age have experienced thousands of failures and was rejected 199 times by professional doctors.

The thing is, in spite of all those failures, in spite of so many rejections from professional doctors, he never give up his dream and he continue to believe in himself. Jack managed to accomplished a major feat at a very young age, just by pursuing the burning desire of his heart.
Another story that caught my attention was the inventor of invisible bike helmet.
Hövding was invented by two Swedish women who also in the course of designing and conceptualizing the product have experience so much rejections and failures. One of the statement that they say that caught my attention was "If people say it's impossible, then we have to prove them wrong".

For ordinary people, being told, "oh no, that can't be" or "there is no way that you can do it" or something similar to that effect, they would quickly drop their dreams to the drain and stop what they are doing. Very few would ignore those people and will continue pursuing even harder to get their dreams. So, is it really difficult to be successful in life or should we say that the reason why you never get what you want it's because you never do anything to get it. You are also like the majority who prefer to listen to the critics and follow them blindly.
You want to be successful? You want to achieve your long time dream? Then you have to get up and do something about it! You have to decide right NOW. And once you decide that NOW is the time for you to get your dream, there is no turning back. No retreat. Nobody or nothing should stop you from getting that dream! Always remember that it is better to be sorry for the things that you have done than to be sorry for the things that you didn't do.
